For older children mainly slides. Clothing arms, legs and feet must be covered. Loose clothing must be tucked in. Trouser day for girls.

Portchester Castle
Pay to go into castle. Pay to park, Staircase up to upper floors and a spiral staircase, which is not suitable for toddlers. Castle shop sells ice cream and tea! Pub close by. Big open area great for ball games. English Heritage events occasionally throughout the year e.g. Roman festival, for these you pay to get in, then free access to castle. Fun day out, but sometimes fire cannons and children/babies are frightened.

Portsmouth Dockyard
Free to look at boats. Tickets to go on all boats and museums ticket valid until seen all exhibits for a year. Includes Victory, Warrior etc. Children love the ships, be careful of ropes, steep steps etc. Fun to go on the Gosport ferry. Free parking in Gosport and ferry very cheap. Adult – £2.20. Child £1.50 return
