We are again able to offer our very popular Adult and Family Learning Courses to you and your family, with the addition of some exciting new courses.
An alphabetical list of all our courses is available by clicking here. Alternatively full details/times/venues can be found below.
You can apply by clicking the
symbol by each course
or by downloading an application form.
Print it out, complete it, and return it
to the Centre. If you would like to apply for more than one course,
please print a separate copy of the form for each one.

For courses highlighted in yellow we can only allow a maximum of 23 hours between September 2011 - July 2012 due to funding restrictions. There are no time restrictions on unmarked courses.
We also have a printed booklet containing all our course information, if you would prefer, just give us a call and we will post one to you.

Working with Children
This course is ideal if you are already
volunteering in a
childcare setting or just wanting to find out if working with children
is the right choice for you.
This Level 1 National Award is an introductory award consisting of four units and will give you a recognised qualification and the basic training needed to begin working with children.
You will need to commit to 12 x 2 hour sessions at Oak Meadow Children's Centre and 12 hours, spread over a number of weeks, in a childcare placement. We will also provide a creche for the sessions and placement

Play and Language
If your child is 0 -3 years old
and you would like to find
out
how to support their development, this is the course for you.
Play and Language is a joint course for you and your child. There will be time during the sessions when you will play and interact with your child and time when your child will be in the creche. Both will give you the opportunity to find out about lots of play ideas to try at home.
This course is for learners who have not gained a level 2 literacy qualification and would like to progress onto one of our courses to gain further qualifications.
